Overview

We are looking for an in-house Inside Sales Technician for the New Brighton, MN location to join our Inside Sales team. This full time role will be working with internal and external customers for Johnson Screens each day. Estimate cost and lead times; design, plan and coordinate activities involved in the estimating of price and delivery of a range of industry products. Provide support to a defined market team to ensure sales and margin goals are achieved. Utilize SAP to enter quotes..

Responsibilities

As an Inside Sales Technician you will:

  • Receive and follow up on customer requests, inquiries and complaints.
  • Generate customer proposals, including price, delivery and supporting documents utilizing standard costs, cost estimating tools, past manufacturing history, engineering specifications, labor hours, material costs and other technical data. 
  • Develop and update current price lists. 
  • Assist other customer service personnel with market inquiries 
  • Participate in Inside Sales team meetings and 1:1 meetings with your manager.
  • Collaborate with sales reps, engineering and manufacturing to determine customer needs.
  • Ensure external customer satisfaction and adhere to the Johnson Screens values at all times.
  • Primary focus is on quality work as well as maintaining a positive attitude in all that you are doing each day
  • Communicate often with your manager with updates, questions and pertinent information.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least two years of experience in Inside Sales, preferably in a manufacturing industry or related field.
  • Strong math skills in adding, subtracting, multiply and dividing units of measure, common fractions and decimals. 
  • Mechanical Aptitude in reading basic prints and understanding customer specifications. 
  • An understanding of using SAP.
  • Order accuracy is top priority with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and superior phone skills are required.
