Job Overview :

Member of the Child Study Team for the purpose of educational diagnostic assessments and learning disabilities remediation.

Provides consultation to CSH staff in learning disabilities remediation practices. Shares responsibilities as case manager for Child Study Team evaluations.

Attends team and parent conferences as needed. Performs educational evaluations for inpatient and outpatients.

Qualifications : Required :

Required :

• Certification by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant
• American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification
• Tact, initiative, and judgment in the performance of duties

Certifications and Licenses Required :

• Certification by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant
• American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification

Scheduling Requirements :

• Per Diem
• Flexible work hours

Essential Functions :

• Performs Learning Evaluations for Inpatient and Outpatients
• Prepares written report of evaluation findings including appropriate intervention recommendations
• Provides learning disability remediation services as required
• Participates in Team and Parent conferences on CST cases
• Disseminates findings accurately and sensitively
• Shares responsibility as case manager for CST, which includes preparing team report for schools or agencies, as requested
• Maintains timely and accurate records consistent with Department Policies
• Participates in case conferences and in services to department, other Children s staff and community as requested by Supervisor
