Job Summary

Innovative Land Surveying Company has an immediate opening for an experienced Human Resource Generalist. This is a full-time remote position but also requires the ability to meet with employees in person and virtually. Must live in Central Florida.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working in Human Resources. The HR Generalist works closely with management and internal teams daily with a high degree of interpersonal skills. The ability to effectively communicate and interact is important in this role.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is a self-starter, reliable, motivated, has a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced working environment to join our growing team. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective follow-up, follow-through, and the ability to multi-task efficiently. We are seeking someone who thinks outside of the box and who can manage their time appropriately to meet deliverables and deadlines. 

This position requires the ability to work from home Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm est. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as business demands change. 

The position pays between $47,000 - $62,000 annually based on experience.

We offer paid time off, paid holidays and sick days and insurance for full-time employees.

The primary responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to and may change as the business demands change.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. 
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. 
  • Preforms routines tasks required to administer and execute human resource program including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. 
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. 
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Keeps track of employee information, including an employee's name, address, job title, compensation or tax withholding information, and benefits
  • Manages employee review process.
  • Creates/manages reports.
  • Assist management with employee initiatives. 
  • Vendor account management and provides research when needed. 

IT Related Duties

  • Serves as the central hub for all new hire setup activities. 
  • New hire phone and computer setup. 
  • Install and/or delete software to ensure all hardware and software are working properly.
  • Troubleshoots computer equipment to confirm it is running correctly.
  • Manages any hardware issues or concerns to ensure employees are up and running consistently.
  • Tracks serial numbers for all company-owned equipment including upgrade dates (if applicable)
  • Creates and manage reports requested by management. 
  • Manages equipment vendor accounts and provides additional research when needed.
  • The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field Required. 
  • Experience with ADP workforce Required.
  • Minimum five years in a face paced work environment preferred.
  • SHRIM-CP a plus
