Primary Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with Branch managers to review and analyze daily branch requirements/requests and procure products based on branch needs
- Communicate with the Procurement Manager regarding long-term product bookings and fulfillment to the stores as it relates to daily purchases.
- Ability to review historical purchasing data and assist the Procurement Manager with long term forecasting and bookings
- Review weekly vendor availabilities for current specifications and quantities available to help optimize store orders while maintaining vendor minimums and communicating current market trends to managers.
- Coordinate supply chain management including resource planning and scheduling for multiple locations
- Assist branch managers with special projects, including but not limited to Direct Ship orders, early orders, product promotions and sourcing for bids.
- Proactively track purchasing forecast accuracy and communicate with internal teams on adjustments
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in business, horticulture or related subject preferred and two to three years of experience in purchasing or replenishment management within the green industry
- Ability to make correct independent decisions when appropriate, adjust and conform with varying schedules, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve, and write and communicate effectively
- Friendly, outgoing, cheerful, professional. Enthusiastic and motivated within a team environment Exceptional communication both written and oral Highly effective with diverse groups Ability to communicate effectively with all business associates Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google G Suite
