We approach problems with creativity and innovation. Schnabel Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform and/or review finite element analyses for underground structures
• Design and detailing of reinforced concrete structures
• Prepare and/or review design drawings, reports, and technical specifications
• Provide periodic construction observation and consultation
• Perform task and project-level management and coordination duties
• Mentor junior level structural engineering staff

Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong work ethic and desire to perform professionally at a high level
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Professional Engineering license to practice structural engineering in California or ability to seek reciprocity upon employment
• 15 years of relevant work experience
• High proficiency with ACI 318 and ACI 350
• Experience with computer-aided structural analysis and finite element modeling
• Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Structural Engineering
• Ability to seek licensure as a Professional Structural Engineer in Hawaii and Washington State.
• Knowledge/experience with seismic design

Other Requirements:

• Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening

The salary range for this opportunity is between $145,000 to $170,000.
