JOB SUMMARY
A Plant Reliability Maintenace Manager who assesses the risks and reliability associated with assets. Conduct risk assessments and help organization with loss elimination and lifecycle asset management. The responsibility of this role is expected to help manage all aspects of the facility(s) to maintain and improve reliability and manage risks associated with plant facilities and operations staff. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with existing associates to become familiar with current Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability policies, procedures, and personnel.
  2. Provide direction in technical matters to maintenance technicians and supervisory personnel.
  3. Troubleshoot Facility operation and equipment to maximize asset reliability and efficiency.
  4. Assist and serve as Subject Matter Expert regarding mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
  5. Mentor and train staff (new and existing) to provide increased equipment effectiveness and to ensure program sustainability.
  6. Conduct Failure Analysis on critical assets and equipment to eliminate root cause(s) of failure and develop improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  7. Participate in the quality assurance of new builds and modifications to assure adherence to functional specifications.
  8. Review current operational and maintenance policies and procedures to optimize maintenance program effectiveness; develop improvements to decrease asset downtime.
  9. Ensure staff have proper training, equipment, and management support to accomplish maintenance tasks safely, effectively, and on time.
  10. Create, optimize, and validate asset PM’s and PM frequencies.
  11. Review and develop both critical and an operational spare part requirements and ensure proper stock levels of critical equipment.
  12. Maintain and improve the Computerized Maintenance Management System to optimize maintenance program effectiveness.
  13. Abide by and enforce company and worksite safety policies to achieve a “Safety First” workplace.
  14. Develop and maintain accuracy of Work Order (WO) related data.
  15. User Setup, Employees, Shifts, Crews, and Supervisors (scheduling).
  16. Adding Equipment to PM Plans, Schedules, and Work Packages
  17. Defining Scheduled due dates or initial meter points of system generated Work Orders.
  18. Develop and maintain specific PM Plans, Schedules, Routes, and Work Orders
  19. Support management in the review of WO Data accuracy such as Equipment on WOs, Run Time Analysis, Parts Utilization, WO type, closing codes and WO Comments.
  20. Support management in the scheduling and assigning of work. manage work orders in the system, ensure proper creation, planning, update, and closure of work orders.
  21. Develop and maintain accuracy of spare parts database by regularly collecting and inputting information, such as supplier, catalog number, min/max quantities, pricing, manufacturer, and part numbers.
  22. Analyze data trends in Operations and Maintenace to ensure system stability and reliability.
  23. Conduct failure mode and effects analysis.
  24. Perform predictive and preventative analysis.
  25. Planning performance evaluations and facility assessments.
  26. Conduct root cause analysis.
  27. Develop proactive maintenance procedures.
  28. Act as the DRC when the Primary is not available.
  29. Provide technical support to local staff and training.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  1. Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Follow and reinforce company policies and procedure.
  3. Ability to support initiatives around ESH, system reliability, and cost reduction.
  4. Must be team oriented and highly collaborative, possess effective oral and written communication skills, and be extremely reliable and dependable.
  5. Must be able to effectively interface with various engineering disciplines, technicians, contractors, and management.
  6. Ability to create and follow detailed procedures for routine and non-routine work.
  7. Ability to follow facility specified Safety and Reliability processes.
  8. Computer/software skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, SCADA, CMMS
  9. Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing (bilingual preferred, Spanish)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES

  1. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Higher education and certifications will be weighted accordingly.
  2. 2 years minimum in a related field.
  3. Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, P&ID, chemical, and controls system drawings.
  4. Time management and Data organization.
  5. Beginning user of Microsoft Excel

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Talking, Hearing, Seeing
  2. Standing, Sitting, Walking, use of hands, Stooping, Crouching, Grasping, and Lifting up to 25lbs unassisted
  3. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
  4. The worker is subject to noisy plant environment.
  5. The worker may be subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibrating equipment, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.
  6. The worker is occasionally required to work in close quarters, crawl space, shafts, manholes, small, enclosed rooms, small sewage and water line pipes, and other areas which could cause claustrophobia.
  7. Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety eye wear, safety shoes, hard hat, earing protection, others as required.
