Our client is a media company. They seek a temp Controller to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial close process by circulating the month-end close schedule
• Review monthly account reconciliations for cash, fixed assets, prepaids, AP, etc.
• Assess monthly overhead reporting package, including actuals v budgets
• Complete monthly consolidation and three-statement budget
• Deliver monthly and quarterly reports to outside third-party accountants
• Handle quarterly deliverables to investors including quarterly financial statements
• Carry out quarterly waterfall settlement reports for specified investment vehicles
• Prepare requested information for annual insurance renewals as they arise
• Work with FP&A to run weekly cash flow reviews and analyses to provide insight

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 10 years of accounting experience
• Entertainment industry experience is a plus
• Experience with GAAP, monthly close process, etc.
• Able to establish and build strong relationships
• Team player with strong attention to detail
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and Quickbooks skills
