Job Description
Are you an IT Project Manager who enjoys leading high-visibility projects for organizational success? If so, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We invite you to play a crucial role in integrating business processes, system requirements, and project executions. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the success of critical business system solutions, as you manage a team comprised of five business analysts and one developer, alongside key partners, to achieve impactful outcomes.
This role is based in our Rosemont, IL office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to three days a week, and reports to the Director of IT.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Plan and facilitate the global implementation of critically important business systems.
  • Engage in discussions with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and your team of IT business analysts to gather business requirements and create system solutions.
  • Offer daily guidance and support to team members, ensuring clear direction and effective management.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive plans, schedules, and work estimates for tracking project progress.
  • Navigate project teams through conflict resolution and facilitate solution identification.
  • Establish and uphold processes to meet project plans and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, operating at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Implement program communication plans to ensure effective leadership engagement.
  • Conduct risk and impact analyses against project milestones and budgets.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, as needed.
Who You Are:
You handle conflicts by foreseeing issues, encouraging consensus, and ensuring everyone feels heard and valued. Comfortable when navigating ambiguity, you make informed decisions, handle risks, and demonstrate agility for effective operations amidst incomplete information. Using business insights, you align technical projects with broader organizational goals seamlessly. Navigating complex problems, you decipher detailed information to achieve successful project outcomes. You seek new approaches to solve problems.
For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and standard processes.
  • Ability to travel internationally, up to 10% annually.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
One or more of the following is preferred, but not required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in leading ERP implementations (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JDE, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP systems).
  • Previous work experience within a manufacturing or supply-chain-centered business model.
