Acteon Group Limited is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

Deepwater, part of Acteon Group, protects our clients' assets from corrosion. We solve corrosion problems and improve anti-corrosion technology to reduce maintenance costs and preserve the integrity of the energy industries' infrastructure.

Deepwater is looking to add an Inside Sales Representative to the team here in Houston. The Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for inside sales for pipe support products.

Duties

  • Quote price and delivery information via phone, fax, and e-Mail
  • Order entry, customer inquiries reorder status
  • Solicit bids from suppliers to enable quoting non-standard bolt products
  • Arrange shipping for outgoing orders
  • Schedule Delivery trucks for domestic shipments
  • Coordinate freight forwarders, vessels, air carriers for international shipments
  • Invoicing for all product sales
  • Assist answering operator telephone
  • Check sales at company website
  • Monthly reports: agent commissions, inventory valuation


Required

  • High school diploma, or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 to 4 years related work experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Accounting software Peachtree and MAS200, a plus
