Metro Sales Inc. is seeking an IT Business Development Representative to work out of our Burnsville headquarters
The IT Business Development Representative will be responsible for lead generation, utilizing various channels including cold-calling and email campaigns to generate, qualify, and track leads. The primary focus will be to secure first-time appointments with prospects, clearing articulating the value proposition of our Managed IT Services, and generating new business for MSI.
What you will do:
Identify, target, and qualify potential Managed IT Services customers through research, cold-calling, networking events, referrals, targeted email campaigns, and social media to build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business leads and opportunities.
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to engage and qualify leads and secure first-time appointments with our team of Sales Evangelists.
Track and manage the sales pipeline, including lead generation and qualification, prospecting activities, and opportunity qualification. Utilize CRM tools and sales methodologies to effectively manage sales cycles and meet or exceed sales targets.
Collaborate with the marketing and Managed IT Services teams to develop strategies and generate demand for Managed IT Services.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the Managed IT Services space.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 1 year of recent outbound business to business (B2B) sales experience with cold calling and appointment setting experience preferred.
People oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Team player with a positive attitude and mindset.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Proven success in a competitive environment.
Reliable transportation and Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
Previous B2B sales experience.
Ability to establish rapport & develop long-lasting business relationships.
