As a transforming company, we are continuously looking for positive, energetic, passionate people to join our team.Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking a Machine Operator, for our Richmond, IN location, supporting our Elevator Equipment Corporation brand. Hyperion is constantly looking for talented, self-motivated, skilled team members to join our team. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, this position plays an integral part on the team by ensuring efficient, safe, and precise operation of manufacturing machinery to produce high-quality products that mees or exceed industry standards. This role is critical in maintaining production schedules and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.Primary Responsibilities:• Machine Setup:o Accurately understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawing to determine machining requirementso Choose appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for the material and install and align them correctly.o Secure Raw material in the chuck or fixture, ensuring it is properly alighted and centered.• Operation:o Adhere to assigned production schedules and meet or exceed daily production targets.o Operate the machine to perform such tasks as turning, facing, threading, drilling, and boring. Following specific instructions for each operation.o Continuously monitor the machining process, making adjustments as needed to maintain precision and quality.o Using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts during and after machining to ensure they meet specifications.• Work Area Maintenance:o Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.o Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.• Safety Compliance:o Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment.o Help leadership identify areas of improvement to establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.• Perform other related duties as assignedJob Requirements:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred• 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred• Must be able to read a tape measure• Ability to read O.D. and I.D. mics preferred• Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for up to 8 hours per day• Prompt and regular attendance requiredCapabilities:• Adaptability:o Approaches change or newness positively.o Adjust to changing procedures for accomplishing work.• Contributing to Team Success:o Provides necessary resources or helps remove obstacles to help the team accomplish its goal.o Shares important or relevant information with the team regularly.o Fulfills team responsibilities; demonstrates personal commitment to the team.• Communication:o Communicate ideas clearly and effectively.o Uses appropriate nonverbal communication (eye contact, gestures, posture) when communicating with others.o Pay attention to communication from others.• Initiating Action:o Take immediate action when confronted with a problem or when made aware of a situation.o Do not wait for others to take action or to request action.o Identify ways to make a job easier or more productive.• Safety Awarenesso Identifies safety issues and problems by checking equipment and/or work area regularly.o Reports or corrects unsafe working conditions.o Display knowledge of all related safety or security regulations.o Follow safety and security procedures on the job.Benefits:At Hyperion Solutions, Inc. we understand that our employees are our most valuable asset.
