Description
Are you an experienced production or manufacturing supervisor that enjoys motivating and harnessing the potential of their team? We have an opening for a Production Lead at our ladder production facility in Florence, SC. This individual is responsible assigning tasks to team members, providing instruction, and monitoring team members in the course of their work. Each manufacturing project requires the supervision or assistance of the production lead, who must be skilled and experienced to ensure production efficiency and quality. The production lead also recognizes that safety is of the highest importance and holds themselves responsible for ensuring all team members are educated on safety practices and will coach members when necessary. In this position, the production lead is the managers go to person and they must be able to effectively communicate with both the employees and other supervisors. This position is responsible for ensuring production goals and quality standards are met on a continual basis from one product to the next.
What it takes:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience, supervision responsibilities required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
- Ability to stand, for long periods of time, 12 hours a day
- Ability to stoop, bend, and climb
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, hot and cold, indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work overtime as required
- 2 years manufacturing/supervisory experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to utilize hand tools effectively
- Ability to read a tap measure down to 1/16
- Forklift experience
