Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Quality Assurance with creating, managing and implementing the quality management system.
• Assist the Director of Quality Assurance with creating, and reviewing standard operating procedures.
• Identifies and sets appropriate standards and parameters for products.
• QA review and documentation of Production samples evaluations.
• QA review of labeling for printed packaging components; folding cartons, bottom labels, wraps etc.
• Manage sample retention and evaluation program in Bellport, NY.
• Manage documentation activities in Bellport,NY.
• Work with Quality Control regarding supplier related investigations and interact with suppliers regarding receipt of Supplier's Corrective Action Reports.
• Provides training to QA inspectors, engineers and assistants as needed.
• Create, manage and monitor all quality assurance and quality control indices.
• Works with Quality Assurance Engineer to establish and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function and reliability prior to delivery.
• Oversees retailer's compliance programs.
• Will occasionally travel to local supplier's sites for inspection and audit purposes.
• Will occasionally travel to the Keasbey NJ office.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:

• BS in Chemistry, Biology, engineering or related field required.
• Experience in the cosmetic industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of US-FDA regulations, EU 1223/2009, ISO 22716, Fair packaging and labeling Act, Prop65 and FD&C regulations a major plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills a plus.
• Excellent Organizational Skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to details.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Type: Full-time
