Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a Secret Cleared Drafter

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree from a school in drafting or illustration.Experience: Two (2) years of experience drafting/illustrating, creating documentation, and modeling to include: computerized drafting applications, digital imaging techniques, use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items. Experience with ASME and DoD processes and procedures.OR
Education: High School diploma or GED.Experience: Five (5) years of experience drafting/illustrating, creating documentation, and modeling to include: computerized drafting applications, digital imaging techniques, use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items. Experience with ASME and DoD processes and procedures.

• Secret level Clearance required.

Job Description:

• Provide drafting, documentation, and modeling support to complete a variety of small to large complex parts, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Create detailed drawings/designs using SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software and AutoCAD 2D for Technical Data Packages (TDP).
• Create/modify solid models and assemblies and maintain configuration management of engineering drawings.
• Ability to understand and create drawings based on ASME Standards.
• Under general supervision, performs a variety of moderately complex tasks and uses tools to include calipers, gage tools, tape measure and other mechanical devices to aid in design, development, verification, and validation of the prototype fabrications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties of the Job:

• Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
• Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
• Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
• Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
• Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

• While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
