​The Senior Test Lab Technician is responsible for performing product testing with complete and accurate reporting of the results to assist in defining design requirements, and suitability of proposed materials or processes as directed. This position requires solid knowledge of mechanical principles with general understanding of various material properties.Coordinate test plan development with new product development teams to recommend and develop test methods and acceptance criteria for evaluating product performance requirements during benchmarking.Set-up and conduct tests of product assemblies, subassemblies, components, and arrange for any outside testing as per agreed upon test plan and protocols.Accurately record test results of numerical and observed data, and document with written test reports including analysis of results.Provide feedback in relation to design, rated specifications and test objectives based upon observed results.Design or participate in the development of new test fixtures and equipment.Coordinate testing support for product life cycle, manufacturing, and quality assurance related activites.Prioritize work to align with the goals of the department and various project teams.Seek out and demand accurate inputs and produce only quality work product for your downstream customers.Be able to adapt and function in an environment of changing priorities often under tight time constraints.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications​Associates Degree from an ABET accredited institution and five (5) years related work experience or equivalent.Must possess knowledge of mechanical principals, algebra, geometry, technical writing, specifications & print reading and they must also have work experience in testing mechanical components and assemblies.Must posses knowledge of data acquisition techniques, programming, and test lab equipment.Demonstrate good oral and written communication -in the form of test reports- within a team environment.Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), analysis and design software.Physical Demand Requirements ​DISCLAIMER: This position may include exposure to radio frequencies that may be dangerous to individuals with a pacemaker, consult with your doctor. Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
