Nova Technologies, an Employee-Owned Engineering... is Hiring a Remote TSSC Manager

The TSSC Manager leads the overall management of contact for the C-17 Training System Support Center. The TSSC Managers supervises a variety of technical disciplines to include Engineering, Configuration Management (CM/DM), Information Technology (IT), Cyber Security, Courseware, and Integrated Logistics Support. This role may also direct other teams or support personnel to ensure contract compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the TSSC operations and assigned individuals.
  • Manage and schedule TSSC activities to include software design, modification, code/testing, CM functions, master library functions, and cyber security.
  • Collaborate with teams of highly technical subject matter experts in their appropriate disciplined functions to identify customer needs, requirements, compliance, risk, and opportunities.
  • Monitor costs, progress, and quality of work product.
  • Respond and resolve complicated technical questions.
  • Primary contact for monthly working groups and as the primary liaison between assigned government representatives.
  • Ensure contract compliance for all TSSC operations.
  • Coordinates with TSSC department leads to ensure appropriate resources and personnel are available to meet contract requirements.
  • Manage the TSSC quality assurance program to ensure AS9100D compliance.
  • Responsible for monthly report submittals to meet CDRL requirements.
  • Attend, participate, and present during weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual meetings required or directed by the C-17 Program Manager or stakeholders.
  • Other duties as required.

Competencies
Required skills and abilities to effectively perform this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with Government Customer personnel.
  • Proficient in performing and collaborating within a team environment.

Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in information systems, engineering or other related technical field. 3-8 years of relevant experience overseeing technical teams or military management. Must have 10 years of experience in a simulation-related role. Experience in aircrew training devices is preferred. Experience or exposure through a degree in hardware/software engineering is also preferred. Experience in quality policies, processes, and audits.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is a direct manager role and provides leadership oversight.

Work Environment, Programs, and Tools
This position operates in an office environment with exposure to high-bay simulator areas and requires individuals to walk, stand, sit, use hands/fingers to type, talk, listen and look, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, climb on ladders/stairs, work with electrical circuits, hydraulics, and moving parts. At time may be exposed to extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
Required knowledge of the following tools, equipment, and programs includes: laptop, phone, Microsoft Office suite - specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will be located at Altus AFB, OK and will require adherence to core site hours. This position is a full-time salaried role, expected to work no less than 80 hours per payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of regular business hours of operations when needed to support program needs. Able and willing to work any shift as required. Able to work overtime as required.

Travel
Must be able and willing to travel. Travel to C-17TS site locations periodically is required, estimated at 25% .

Security Clearance
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
