Clean Energy Services is Hiring a Wind Turbine Technician Near Houston, TX

CES was founded on 4 core values: Safety, Quality, Trust, and Efficiency. We’re starting with Battery Storage, Crane, Up-tower Wind Technician, and Solar services but will quickly grow into a full renewable service company.

We are looking for motivated people who want to be part of CES’ growth. Our early hires will be essential to the success of the company. We count on our people to help us grow the labor force of the company and for them to reference high potential candidates, especially for their own direct reports.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility. We expect active participation in the Company’s safety programs and a proactive approach from everyone. This means we expect people to speak up about safe and unsafe situations. Every CES employee should be an active contributor to their coworkers’ improvement. We expect every incident to be reported, no matter how minor. Everyone involved in incidents is expected to participate in investigations. Everyone has the right and obligation to stop work that is unsafe or that they do not understand.

As part of the field team, you are our first client interaction on the work front. We expect you to behave accordingly and to be positive and professional. We are continuously looking to improve our work product, and we want you to do so as well. If you see processes that can be improved, speak up!

Project work requires attention to detail and should be a product of intent and thoughtful planning. Field employees are all expected to work side by side. No one should sit idle in their truck if someone else is working. We expect our people to care and maintain the equipment that they are using. As a result, downtime should be used for maintenance and other improvement work activities.

What employees can expect from CES:

  • CES will treat employees fairly and will try to help employees achieve their career goals. This means that there will be opportunities for career progression. We will start with experienced people, but the goal is to hire people that will grow within and with the organization.
  • CES will pay annual bonuses based on performance and longevity with the company.
  • CES will pay spot bonuses for people who excel in safety and job performance throughout the year.

A turbine technician is a key person for CES in the field. They’re expected to work as part of a crew to perform all work safe and efficiently, in line with CES’ code of conduct. A turbine technician is expected to be proactive in identifying and solving problems. As CES is a new company, we expect a willingness to work and help us grow the company.

As key interface person with the client a turbine technician needs to behave accordingly.

CES is working towards a turnkey service model for our clients in the renewable energy industry. In the wind sector this will involve teams consisting of both turbine technicians and crane crews, working together. Everyone working for CES is expected to work alongside and together with all other coworkers, regardless of whether they’re crane, technician, solar or BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) specialized.

TCL, GWO, LOTO qualification preferred.

Compensation:

  • Base Rate: CES has pay scales aligned with the industry standard. Exact compensation will depend on certifications, experience, and performance.

Guaranteed Hours

  • CES will pay a minimum of 50 hours during working weeks (away from home). CES will pay 40 hours for weeks where no work can be offered. CES plans to perform maintenance and other activities during off time. So it can be expected that some work will still be required during off periods, which may still exceed 40 hours.

Standard Time/Over Time:

  • Overtime at 150% of ST, after 40 hours per week.

Per diem

  • $50 is paid per day for meals and incidental expenses. Hotels will be provided by CES or an additional $100 per day will be paid for people organizing their own lodging.
  • 7 days per week will be paid when a full week of work is completed. In the first and last week of work, per diem is paid for all working days and 1 travel day.

PPE/Tooling

  • Personal Protective Equipment, insulated tooling and instrumentation will be provided by CES.

Health insurance:

  • Employee health insurance will be provided. Family coverage will be offered.

Pay frequency:

  • Bi-Weekly
