Job Summary: We are seeking a professional and experienced Dinner Server to join our team at Vacanza Romana. As a Dinner Server, you will play a key role in providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests. You will be responsible for delivering impeccable service, showcasing our Italian cuisine, and ensuring each guest leaves with a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
Greet guests promptly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
Provide a warm and friendly atmosphere, making guests feel welcome and comfortable.
Present menus and offer detailed descriptions of the dishes, including daily specials.
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary options.

Order Management:
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
Monitor and ensure timely delivery of orders.
Serve food and beverages to guests with finesse and attention to detail.
Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.

Wine and Beverage Service:
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings and other beverages.
Properly open and serve wine, following the restaurant’s standards.
Maintain a strong understanding of the wine list and beverage offerings.

Upselling and Sales:
Suggest additional items to enhance the dining experience, such as appetizers, desserts, and after-dinner drinks.
Promote daily specials and limited-time offers.

Table Maintenance:
Ensure tables are set up according to the restaurant’s standards before service.
Clear and reset tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart.
Keep the dining area clean and organized throughout the service.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth operation.
Assist with training new staff members as needed.
Participate in pre-service meetings and ongoing training sessions.

Payment Processing:
Present checks to guests, process payments, and return change or receipts.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and gratuities accurately.

Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine.
