ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
The Ceramics Engineer with apply their knowledge ceramics technical abilities related to metallurgical, dimensional, process and manufacturing engineering to define the processes and techniques required for the economic development of superalloy investment castings to specific aerospace and other high standard customer specifications. 
The ideal candidate will be a pro-active self-motivated engineer with the ability to interpret available data and implement a series of actions to bring about a highly controlled and efficient manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize ceramic materials and processes for investment casting applications in the IGT/Aerospace industry.
• Design, analyze, and modify ceramic molds and cores to meet stringent IGT/Aerospace requirements.
• Conduct research and development activities to enhance the performance and reliability of ceramic materials used in investment casting.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to provide technical expertise in ceramic materials selection, design for manufacturability, and process optimization.
• Perform testing, characterization, and evaluation of ceramic materials to ensure compliance with IGT/Aerospace quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to ceramic materials, mold design, and casting processes, and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support the implementation of new technologies, materials, and processes to drive continuous improvement in investment casting operations.
• Develop and improve robotic programs for controlled dipping of molds.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends in ceramics engineering and investment casting and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to explore new materials, processes, and technologies for IGT/Aerospace investment casting.

BACKGROUND PROFILE

• Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology.
• Solid understanding of ceramic materials, their properties, and behavior in high-temperature environments
• Familiar with Environmental control systems
• Familiarity with quality standards and specifications in the aerospace industry, such as AS9100 or NADCAP.
• Process Control methodologies and familiar with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field OR  A high school diploma plus five years minimum industry experience as an Engineer or Associate Engineer in
