Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering top-tier customer service.

• Assisting with setup and teardown of events and programs.

• Supervising patrons and ensuring safety.

• Engaging youth in sports activities, at community events, and programs.

The level of position offered to a candidate will be determined based on qualifications in each of the job classifications.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.):

Recreation Aide I

• Must be at least 15 years old. 

• Preferred: Bilingual Spanish

Recreation Aide II

• Valid Washington State driver license.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Preferred: Bilingual Spanish

SAFETY/WORK CONDITIONS:

Work is performed often after business hours, occasional exposure to wet and humid conditions (non-weather) and exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate physical demands such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, repetitive motions, frequently standing, walking, climbing, balancing, pushing or pulling, and occasional sitting. Some lifting and moving of supplies and equipment weighing more than 50 pounds. Ability to communicate verbally and by demonstration with program participants and public. Hearing ability to communicate with participates and to identify volatile or safety issues during activities.
