Abbeville Specialty Practice, Full Time, First Shift, Monday-Friday
Supervises all aspects of the front office including patient registration, answering phone lines, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting with routing patient issues to the proper person for resolution. Ensures all demographic data and insurance information is collected and is entered correctly into the computer system. Oversees clinical area to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained each day and notifies Practice Manager when shortages exist. Uses practice management and electronic medical record systems proficiently as primary source of documentation of all patient visits and correspondence. Serves as electronic medical records super user for practice/office. Assists Practice Manager with office operations related to updating the KRONOS time system, ordering office supplies, developing staff and provider schedules, addressing patient complaints to patient satisfaction, and participates in the peer interview process for new hire candidates. Supervises office operations in absence of Practice Manager. Completes all required training when scheduled allowing none to become delinquent. Practices work in a safe manner, following proper protocols of infection control, accident prevention, proper body mechanics, etc.. Attends meetings/training sessions as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school graduate or GED required. Associate degree preferred, but not required. Must have excellent managerial skills, customer service skills, and computer skills. Must demonstrate initiative, good interpersonal and telephone skills. Must be able to set priorities, working with little direct supervision. Must know and maintain patient and team member confidentiality.
