GENERAL REQUIREMENTS •Directly responsible for managing WIC program and the WIC staff, (support staff and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and Staff Nutritionist), including payroll/timesheet edits, annual evaluations/competencies, etc. •Manage WIC Budget. •Completion of programmatic and organization Quality Improvement projects. •Supervises nutrition services including determining need for services, supervising chronic disease nutrition staff, etc. •Provide direct patient care for WIC Services. •Determining eligibility and development and implementation of a plan of care based on medical and nutritional needs while considering client's educational background, financial resources, and other available assistance. •Counsels individuals and families in nutritional principles and food selection; provides nutrition education and follow-up as needed to ensure continuity of care. •Assigns and tailors the food package to meet individual needs. •Evaluates, and utilizes pertinent current research relating to nutritional care. •Provides nutritional consultation to professional and ancillary services staff and related agencies. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES •BLS Certificate from American Red Cross or American Heart Association •Valid NC Driver's License
