Primary Purpose:
Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various systems. Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as back-up, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance. Acquires, installs, and tests infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 3-5 years' experience preferred.
Microsoft Certification (MCSE/MCITP) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server /desktop Operating Systems
• Knowledge Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, SharePoint and Exchange administration
• Experience with firewall technology
• Knowledge of various server architectures and models
• Knowledge and experience with wide area networks (WAN) and local area networks (LAN).
• Ability to provide expertise and guidance in resolving system level problems
• Demonstrate professional communication skills - written and oral
• Demonstrate organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, think critically and manage conflicts
• Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
• Must be a team player

Experience:
3-5 Years of related experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Managing Windows Server infrastructures and other systems

to include email, licensing, problem analysis, system monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, technical support, upgrade management, backup/recovery, and system administration.

• Managing deployments/rollouts
• Maintain workstation/server data integrity by using appropriate software and hardware solutions along with implementing a schedule of backups for data archiving.
• Configure automation routines.
• Work supportively with department personnel when programs/data systems are not communicating or processing data to figure out the issue and resolve.
• Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness, and develop new systems to improve production and workflow as required
• Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues
• LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks)
• Work as back up to other IT personnel and contracted services when needed
• Collaborate with and train IT personnel when needed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Duty Days: 225
FISD pays $315 a month towards TRS Health Insurance.
You can earn up to 5 local and 5 state days.
