Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening (contract term initially 4 months with possible extension) for a Network Administrator Consultant resource with our utilities industry client located in Austin, TX. *This is a hybrid role in which this resource must work a minimum of TWO days per week onsite (frequently will be more than two days--given the nature of the work).

Role: Network Administrator Consultant
Role Description:
The client is seeking a driven, results-oriented individual to support the network team. The primary responsibilities for this individual will include the creation, moving to production (MTP), and ongoing management of a new video streaming and on-site corporate communications service offering. This resource will provide support for all the sites supported by the Network LAN & Telecom team.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:

• Initial inventory of all current and potential signage locations and deployed equipment.
• Configuration and implementation of signage displays.
• Weekly status reports.
• Daily monitoring of system status.
• Create, update, and maintain operational documentation.
• Resolution of tier1 generic network incidents and requests.
• Resolution of tier2 and 3- technology-specific incidents and requests supporting the Video Streaming and onsite Corporate Communication services.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience configuring, implementing, and managing network streaming services, AppSpace, IPTV, etc..
• Minimum of 4 years of experience collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver networks.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience configuring, implementing, and managing network devices.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting complex network switches., routers, and firewalls.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating, managing, and supporting routing protocols, specifically BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VXLAN.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating, managing, and supporting next-generation firewalls.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating, managing, and supporting wireless networks.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating, managing, and supporting DNS.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40hour work week).
• Additional work hours may be required to support 24hour Utility operations, including evenings, weekends, holidays, inclement weather, and emergency closures.
• This resource must have the following fire-resistant personal protection equipment (PPE), as some client site environments require it:
  • Steel toed boots
  • Pants
  • Shirt

• 2 years of experience complying with regulatory controls.
