What you'll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Manages plant operating budgets (Opex)
  • Establishes yearly business plan and identifies areas of risks and opportunities
  • Conducts and coordinates financial forecasts during the year with various manufacturing shops
  • Coordinate month end closing activities
  • Manage and approve budget and headcount usage effectively and efficiently for financial target achievement
  • Steer activities for continuous improvement purpose
  • Maintain routine dialog/network collaboration with both corporate colleagues and group associates overseas
  • Serve as a key contact/partner to corporate/group financial colleague
  • Lead and coach team of controllers to maximize team effectiveness and talent development
  • Perform variance analysis versus critical financial figures
  • Establish, track and explain financial performance deviation against KPI
  • Ensure proper financial reporting timing and quality to management
  • Summarize financial performance and present to various levels of management
  • Represent finance organization in carrying out finance initiatives
  • Verify the quality/data integrity of financial figures in business cases
  • Perform other duties assigned by management
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events frequently. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel (<10%) to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
What you'll bring

You'll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You'll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Here's what else you'll bring:
  • BA/BS/BBA in Finance, Accounting or business degree (MBA preferred)
  • 8 years of experience in a financial, FP&A, controlling and planning role
  • 10 years of professional experience in the manufacturing environment (preferably in automotive industry)
  • 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a financial function
  • Advanced experience and know-how in the area of Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Ability to pay attention to details as well as summarize complicated situations into management summary
  • Prior leadership experience with proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to success and performance
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
  • Ability and flexibility to both compromise and stand firm for financial decisions in an ever-changing environment
  • German language skill helpful

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000-$155,000
Internal leveling code: M8
