POSITION TITLE: Member Service Representative I
DEPARTMENT: Branch
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time
POSITION REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
POSITION PURPOSE
The primary responsibilities of a Member Service Representative are to serve as a liaison between the member and the credit union in a manner that is consistent with the credit union’s core values of loving people, pursuing excellence, and choosing joy. Provide account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services. Open accounts for members, resolve issues, and professionally handle the members’ daily needs. Provide a variety of transactional services to members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of Credit Union Mission and Vision Statements and Core Values.
Thorough understanding of Credit Union products and services
Understanding of Credit Union operations
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to create relationships.
Ability to cross-sell products and services.
Great attention to detail.
Logical thinking with the capability to problem solve and to act decisively.
Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
Must be bondable.
