Our client specializes in the transportation of Import and Export Ocean Containers (FCL) out of all the US ports with a very strong presence in the Port of NY and NJ region.
Dispatcher - Drayage
Our client is seeking an experienced Dispatcher with a strong background in the drayage industry, specifically within the New York/New Jersey port region. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of import/export containers. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, have the ability to problem solve, multi-task, and be a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Assignment of deliveries to drivers.
• Scheduling appointments/follow-ups with clients.
• Manage constant tracking of drivers, ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service through phone call and email communications with clients and operations teams.
• Tracking equipment and updating in our client’s custom portal.
• Tracking and tracing container shipments via the terminal portal.
• General office and other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in dispatch operations within the drayage and logistics transportation industry, with specific knowledge of the New York/New Jersey port region.
• Strong understanding of port operations, terminal procedures, and transportation logistics.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
