A Leading Health Tech Firm is seeking a Full-Time, permanent, employee- A visionary and dynamic Director of Application Development to lead the delivery of their SaaS platform to clients, steering the company's digital transformation towards a cloud-first strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive innovation and efficiency in our application development processes.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for application development aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead the digital transformation initiatives, advocating for and implementing a cloud-first strategy.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity within the development team.
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of the SaaS platform, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Evaluate business requests and work with the stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure that business initiatives are properly identified and prioritized with clear measurable goals.
- Monitor the software lifecycle through daily standups, development dashboards and status reports.
- Provide senior level architectural and technical leadership to delivery teams.
- Implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Ensure data integrity across the organization.
- Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of software developers, architects, and engineers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the development team.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and frameworks that enhance the development process and product offerings.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of the SaaS platform.
- Act as the primary liaison between the development team and other departments, including product management, operations, sales, and customer support.
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the SaaS platform.
- Develop and manage the application development budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering SaaS products to market and leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and development frameworks.
- Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and API management.
- Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within budget.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- High degree of adaptability and willingness to embrace change.
