• 4 years of B2B biotech sales experience, 2 years of experience within CDMO / CMO services sales experience
• Exhibited success in new client development within the industry

FULL DESCRIPTION: The position includes all necessary measures regarding the Sales and Business Approach for the existing product portfolio to research and identify new opportunities within current markets, and to achieve the maximum economic value for the Americas region. This includes contribution to the regional sales strategy for the existing portfolio, opening new markets, identifying new applications and supporting the development of them with the food/nutra-laboratory and Global Strategic Category Management team, innovative product line extensions, exploring business potentials for new products together with the Global New Product Team. This position will work in the Americas Region to identify, develop, create demand and recruit new customers to drive Nutraceutical business opportunities. This work includes: Defining the opportunities using a market data driven approach, developing the regional business plan, understanding the competitive landscape, using the candidate's business network, understanding regulatory requirements, as well as identify and establish supply chain capabilities and support developing a marketing/communication plan. The Business Development Manager may also be responsible for initiating and managing technical projects via the Project Selection Process.

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Bachelors Degree in a life-science or technical field is required with a Masters or PhD preferred.
• 6 years of relevant work experience in the food or nutraceutical or pharma industry.
• Experience working in an international and cross functional environment in the technical marketing
• Technical project management experience and proven track record in business development
• Technical Presentation experience to customers selling products in a highly technical environment
• Contract, pricing and specification negotiation for supplier agreements both domestic and international
• Experience managing / working in a commercial laboratory
• Experience negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications to customers
• B2B Sales experience selling to middle managers and C level contacts
• Experience working with SAP and CRM databases
• Regulatory basic understanding
• Capability to work in a global environment, intercultural skills
• Product application knowledge
• Prospecting skills, meeting sales goals, creativity
• Report writing (Trip Reports, Monthly Reports, Market research), presentations, Strategic, Account Management

Salary Range: $100k-$140k/yr
