ABSC is seeking a Lead AI/ML Engineer (Level III) to support CENTCOM and theater working to implement an overarching Data Strategy to consolidate data sources and enterprise architecture that will ultimately support broad implementation of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other advanced data analytics tools.
CENTCOM requires an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Decision Support capability to provide the warfighter at all levels of engagement the information advantage in demand forecasting, global resource management, transportation, distribution, force posturing, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, supply chain optimization, and align OPLAN contingency development.
Support is needed to establish an initial operating capability (IOC) for a data laboratory and collaborative space comprised of Government (military and DoD Civilian) logistics subject matter experts as well as data scientists. This team will establish workflows, processes, identify software/hardware requirements, and obtain access to data feeds and required licenses.
The team objective is to build advanced AI/ML models to integrate with existing architecture and framework and deliver algorithms for predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, forecasting and free text query in an AI/ML Decision Support Tool.
Primary Responsibilities:
Required Education:
Bachelors degree plus 7-10 years experience, or a Masters Degree plus 5 years of experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
A minimum of an Active Top Secret/SCI level security clearance is required.
Experience using machine learning and analytical techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems
Have a sound understanding of programming, software engineering and data science to develop specialized AI models that correlate with various logistics datasets to meet desired objectives.
Experience driving real-time model implementations and new feature creations
Able to establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation
Experience collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers to develop and deploy and model pipelines, applying ML and data science techniques in design distributed and large-scale processing systems
Experience writing production-level, re-usable, easy-to-interpret code in R, Python (required), Java, C , or other languages, while engaging in collaborative code reviews and providing technical feedback to improve existing ML model performance.
