• Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by educating customers, resolving customer concerns, meets customer needs, responding to requests, and helping to maintain a safe and clean pool environment in a professional manner.
• Assist with rentals, programs, and special events for the pool.
• Ensures the safety of the general public by enforcing pool rules and regulations, monitoring activities, and providing assistance when necessary. Provides accident prevention.
• Performs emergency service by rescuing, resuscitating, or administering first aid as required. Reports all incidents to Recreation Coordinator.
• Provides general facility maintenance and cleanliness including: cleaning bathhouse restrooms and locker rooms, cleaning the pool, pool decks, pool equipment, grass areas, and pool house areas.
• Attends in-service training each week on safety and emergency procedures
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Requires regular attendance.

• Less than high school education acceptable.
• Related experience preferred.
• A current American Red Cross certification in First Aid, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer and Lifeguarding or equivalent is required. For information regarding available certification courses and to register, visit: https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/lifeguarding/lifeguard-training
• Must pass pre-employment skills test for Lifeguarding.
