Industrial Maintenance Manager
Location: Fort Worth, TX, 76140

Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department, including the upkeep of manufacturing assets, maintenance budget, and resources. This position will supervise maintenance personnel, establish priorities, and ensure that maintenance is in line with legal and safety regulations while supporting company goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the oversight of all maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility including, but not limited to; laminators, water jet, MHE, compressed air systems, closed loop chilled water system, general electrical, plumbing and fabrication.
  • Responsible for the management of preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to include scheduled inspections, routine servicing, parts management, condition monitoring, trend analysis, emergency repairs, troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Responsible for all aspects of maintenance of the facility and should be aware of each and every aspect of how the facility functions; i.e., electrical, plumbing, air circulation systems, HVAC systems, security system, etc. Act as the key liaison with the property manager on facility items that the property manager is responsible for.
  • Responsible for the management and execution of maintenance work orders and resource allocation.
  • Responsible for inventory management of spare parts and the timely procurement of parts and materials.
  • Responsible for the management and enforcement of safety and compliance as it relates to machinery and equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for the education and skill development of Operations department managers and production-based employees in relation to how their performance and job tasks affect the health of company owned machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for the training and skill development of maintenance staff to enhance skills and knowledge while monitoring and evaluating staff performance.
  • Facilitate and enhance communications between operations, maintenance, and the engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and control preventable downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with the Engineering Department and senior management, including root cause analysis, kaizen, and lean practices.
  • Responsible for the documentation & reporting of various maintenance records including keeping detailed records of all maintenance activities such as inspections, repairs, and parts replacements. Generate reports on maintenance performance, costs, downtime, and equipment reliability.
  • Maintain successful and stable relationships with third party vendors and service companies in support of operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for ensuring the coordination of maintenance schedules and projects with production schedules to ensure maintenance activity do not disrupt manufacturing operations which may sometimes require working late evenings or weekends.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive growth in responsibility and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with hydraulics, PLC programming, pneumatics, electronics, fabrication, and welding is required.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with experience supervising maintenance personnel.
  • Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic abilities, and technical aptitude.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • OSHA safety knowledge and certifications are preferred.
  • Additional certifications in hydraulics, PLC programming, pneumatics, or welding are a plus.
  • Self-starter; must be willing to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess a high attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Strong people skills with a desire to work in a diverse & growing environment.
  • Ability to solve straight forward problems with a few concrete variables.
  • Must be able to work on your feet, bend, stoop, and lift consistently for all scheduled hours.
  • Must be able to manipulate and move material weighing up to 100 lbs. either rolling, lifting, or using hand cart.
  • Availability to work evenings or weekends if necessary.
  • Availability for on-call emergency maintenance as needed.
Work Environment
  • Job entails almost exclusively working in an ambient temperature manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Exposure to equipment and noise pollution, forklift traffic, sharp tools & objects, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Physical requirements to perform this job include lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance, reaching, standing, kneeling, bending, and crouching. Must use eyes to focus and hands to operate equipment and tools.
  • Must comply with all PPE, including but not limited to gloves and safety glasses as required.
