The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing all cardiac diagnostic procedures, primarily: EKG and EKG MUSE Medical entry and records. Cardiology technicians may also be responsible for EEG, treadmill exercise tests, Holter monitoring and scanning, pacemaker analysis and telephonic arrhythmia monitoring.

Required:

• An EKG course completion within 30 days of hire is required
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred:

• Graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology or certification from the National Board for Cardiovascular Technology
• Completion of basic arrhythmia class preferred. EEG experience preferred
• One year experience performing EKG's and treadmill exercise testing in an acute care hospital preferred
