GRTC is seeking a qualified professional to analyze Microtransit data and conduct service reviews for a public transit agency.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Microtransit Service Analyst works under the guidance of the Microtransit Manager and is responsible for supporting the development, collection, analysis, documentation, and communication of performance measures. This role involves collaborating with other departments to provide updates on data and services, forecasting the demand and supply of service to allocate resources effectively, and reporting on performance measurement data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collects and analyzes data to establish data quality and reliability.

• Evaluate Microtransit data identifying patterns in ridership.
• Evaluate and analyze demand patterns in Microtransit zones to allocate resources efficiently.
• Analyze Microtransit budget, forecast expenses, and recommend adjustments to remain within budget.
• Evaluate the validity of the current Microtransit database, documenting concerns and providing recommendations for correction.
• Establish a set of procedures for reporting any issues related to Microtransit.
• Responds to internal and external data requests, including statistics and metrics for measuring operational efficiency and success.
• Assist in maintaining and reporting Microtransit performance data to Federal, State, and Local stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual Microtransit ridership reports.
• Effectively summarizes quantitative and qualitative analyses into formats appropriate for various audiences.
• Assist in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Education and/or Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics, statistics, or other related field.
• Knowledge and experience of data mining techniques.
• Strong statistical and analytical skills are required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office products.
• Ability to manipulate data with spreadsheets and databases such as MS Excel.
