Description

As Engineering Intern (EI) you will work in support of the Engineering department by participating in the many facets of engineering that contribute to product development, facilities maintenance and supply chain systems. The (EI) drives company strategic goals by learning and assisting in product development process from concept to production readiness, process validations, compliance with industry specific regulatory standards and looking for creative solutions and opportunities to improve throughout.
Responsibilities:

• • Assist in preparing information and research materials
  • Evaluate new equipment and techniques for production
  • Assist with material selection and sourcing
  • Create and update material spec sheets
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of engineering practices and procedures
  • Attend development and research meetings
  • Create and revise product drawings using AutoCAD
  • Manage and organize databases of files, drawings, and data sheets
  • Participate in preventative and corrective maintenance on small-scale electromechanical manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks and schedule required inspections at manufacturing facilities.
  • Assist in scheduling and overseeing outsourced calibrations.
  • Participate in scheduling and tracking manufacturing operations.
  • Assist in the research and development of some supply chain systems and technology
  • Utilize data gathered to find creative solutions and system improvements to resolve bottlenecks and reduce inefficiencies.

To be considered you'll need:

• To be currently enrolled or a college graduate pursing a degree in Engineering & having completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
• GPA: Good academic standing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Solid company-centric ideology.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• The ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Core values of honesty and respect.
• A thirst for learning.
• The desire the be challenged.
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
