General Description: The Admissions Associate will assist the Senior Director of Admissions to meet and maintain the requirements for the quality and predetermined number of students and applicants set by the parties mentioned. This is a twelve-month position with some evening and weekend overtime required. Duties and Responsibilities : Admissions
Administer all admission testing for students applying for PreK 12th grades
Communicate with parents to schedule the assessments
Discuss results of the assessments with parents as directed by the Sr. Director of Admissions
Create and maintain applicant files, including filing documents when received
Notify parents of receipt of applications and need for any additional information
Interact with prospective parents and students
Assist in enrollment for new families
Assist with the training program for Parent and Student Ambassadors
Assist with events for all prospective families, including open houses/previews, informational coffees, and grades specific events
Reenrollment
Assist with reenrollment, including calling and emailing families in need of assistance and/or reminders
Testing
Administer all new student admission testing for grades PreK 12th
Assist with group testing for admissions
Assist in maintaining testing supply inventory
Information Management
Provide written information to all interested prospective parents and students
Collect and disburse RSVPs for admission events
Create and maintain applicant files, including any follow-ups needed to complete a student file
Assist with all Prospective Parent Events
Communicate with all applicants throughout the application process to gather paperwork and schedule testing and interviews
Assemble prospective parent packets/folders
Qualifications/Skills :
Proficiency in social media venues;
Proficiency in digital photo/video sharing
Strong public relations background; excellent people skills
Creative thinking, marketing, and public relations
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate ideas and goals both inside and outside PCA
Commitment to PCAs Vision Statement, Mission Statement and Core Values
Ability to retain confidential information about PCAs constituents
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, Blackbaud, and Salesforce
Requires being available to work occasional evenings and weekends
Prestonwood Baptist Church member preferred.
Physical, Mental Requirements and Work Environment:
Regularly sit, talk, walk, hear, and to visually intercept visitors
Computer work at the computer requiring repetitive finger motion and manual dexterity
Good vision required (with correction) due to the need for focusing ability and close vision. Color discrimination, peripheral vision and depth perception are also important
Be able to occasionally lift between 10 20 pounds
Regularly use close and distance vision
Works at desk and computer screen for extended periods of time
Turns, bends, reaches and may occasionally use a step stool or ladder
Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment with occasional outside travel between buildings or during outside Admission events
Ability to handle moderate stress level as position requires multi-tasking and frequent interruptions
Up to several hours of walking and standing especially during event set-up and execution
Subject to working more than required usual hours during event execution
Ability to manage multiple coinciding projects
Ability to communicate effectively, even in stressful situations
Professional appearance and dress required, as this person is often the host of PCA-wide meetings and events
