Bright Star Solutions is seeking a dedicated Responsible AI Implementation Specialist to support the Department of State in operationalizing responsible artificial intelligence (AI) mandates and promoting ethical AI practices. The Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies, and frameworks to ensure the ethical and transparent use of AI technologies in diplomatic endeavors and decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to assess AI-related risks, opportunities, and ethical considerations within the Department of State.
Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures for the responsible design, development, and deployment of AI systems and applications.
Conduct ethical assessments and impact analyses of AI algorithms, models, and technologies to identify and address potential biases, discrimination, and unintended consequences.
Provide guidance and training to staff on ethical AI principles, practices, and compliance requirements to foster a culture of responsible AI use.
Establish mechanisms for ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of AI systems to ensure alignment with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay current on developments in AI ethics, governance, and regulation to inform organizational strategies and initiatives. Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI ethics, governance, compliance, or related roles.
Understanding of ethical frameworks, principles, and best practices for AI development and deployment.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards governing AI ethics and responsible AI use.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess complex ethical dilemmas and propose effective solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. Salary Range:
$110,000-$150,000
