Big R is looking for a candidate who will buy and manage a subset of brands in the Women’s and Kid's workwear, western, outdoor and lifestyle apparel space. Below are the requirements along with the benefits.

$80,000-$90,000 Annual Salary (wage based on experience)

This is not a remote position; all work is done from Big R’s home office in Pueblo, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase and manage a variety of Women’s and Kids products and brands for Big R’s 37 locations
• Oversee order placement and tracking to ensure timely receipt of merchandise
• Identify opportunities and risks in season through analyzing sales performance
• Ability to calculate gross margin, turn and OTB
• Review sales results to strategize markdowns and manage aged inventory
• Lead and support buying assistant
• Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on pricing, RA’s, terms, and discounts
• Ability to forecast market trends and perform consumer research
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Build and maintain vendor relationships
• Report to Purchasing Manager daily
• Overnight travel 30 nights annually
