HomeTown Services: When it comes to maintaining comfort, keeping the lights on and water flowing, no one can compete with hometown heroes. HomeTown Services is a residential service provider in the South Central U.S. that provides homeowners with the highest-quality heating, AC, plumbing, and electrical repair and replacement services.

HomeTown Services is seeking a part time dispatcher to join our team.

Job Duties:

  • Receive and prioritize calls for service.
  • Schedule and dispatch vehicles or personnel to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
  • Use computer-aided dispatch systems and other software to track and monitor vehicle locations and statuses.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and team members.
  • Provide updates and instructions to drivers regarding routes, traffic conditions, and any changes in schedules.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about services, schedules, and estimated times of arrival.
  • Route service technicians after 5pm and on weekends to maximize time on-site and minimize drive time.
  • Record and maintain logs of calls, services, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and update databases as required.
  • Generate and review reports to identify and resolve issues or inefficiencies.
  • Address and resolve issues or emergencies that arise during the dispatch process.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to handle vehicle breakdowns or delays.
  • Implement contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience as a dispatcher is a BONUS.
  • Qualified candidates will have basic knowledge of the local geography and streets.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure. 
  • Must be able to prioritize dispatches according to urgency. 
  • Dispatchers must be organized and able to disperse service calls for up to 12 companies. 
  • Communicate effectively under pressure with patience and positivity.
  • Customer Service is a must! Work with the customers in a polite, friendly and respectful manner. 
  • Dedication to customer satisfaction, attention to detail, great listener, punctual, and efficient - to name a few.
