Code.org is Hiring a Remote Content Development Manager, TeachAI

JOB SUMMARY 

Drive the organization and execution of key TeachAI workstreams by leading working groups to translate thought leadership into classroom practice. Develop and implement plans to create engaging content and thought leadership assets that advance TeachAI's mission. Projects include guidance on AI literacy and the influence of AI on CS education.

This role is vital in contributing to TeachAI’s goals of Increasing the capacity of teachers to teach with and about AI, supporting global AI and CS education leaders in implementing or amplifying TeachAI’s recommendations, and communicating a vision of AI and CS education in general education discourse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • [Content Management] 
    • Manage working groups composed of stakeholders across education, policy, and technology sectors to solicit input and feedback and co-create content based on defined criteria.
    • Leverage expertise in instructional design and content development to plan and create multimedia resources, ensuring TeachAI's thought leadership is conveyed through various formats such as frameworks, web content, graphics, research highlights, and summary reports.
    • Develop and facilitate workshops and webinars, handling end-to-end project management from speaker recruitment, agenda design, and event facilitation.
    • Provide input into TeachAI strategy to reach overall goals as related to content development.
  • [Research and Review] 
    • Engage with stakeholders, including teachers, parents, students, and policymakers, to perform user research (surveys and user studies) in order to inform the content and format of TeachAI outputs.
    • Support the review and endorsement process for TeachAI content.
  • [Miscellaneous] 
    • Other duties, as assigned by the TeachAI lead, include supporting new projects and activities as they arise.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

We seek candidates who have:

  • Passion for Code.org’s mission and the TeachAI vision
  • Ability to execute given high-level direction and frequently check in for alignment with the TeachAI lead
  • A practical understanding of education systems and at least 3 years of experience in a content development and project management role.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills with a positive, solutions-driven approach
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills. Experience writing reports, policy briefs, or academic writing.
  • Proficiency with a broad variety of tools, including Google Suite, spreadsheet functions, video conferencing, form builders, project management software, etc
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment

We prefer candidates who also have:

  • Excellent speaking and communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for workshops and conferences
  • At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, artificial intelligence, or education.

In addition, candidates must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Be willing to travel a minimum of two times per year for team events

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

The expected salary range for this position is $103,500 - $115,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
