Wurth Elektronik is Hiring a Distribution Account Manager Near Watertown, SD

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities with a wide variation or duties within structured procedures, policies, and practices coupled with

limited supervision. Decision making in somewhat varied situations with a possibility of a range of outcomes.

New Product Introductions:

  • Develop and oversee the introduction of new eiSmart and Active products to our distribution partners.

Pricing Management:

  • Maintain and manage pricing within the Distribution price file and stocking packages.

Sales Targeting and Part Number Development:

  • Focus on targeted sales and actively contribute to part number development through dedicated product support.

Distribution Partner Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for distribution partners in the Americas, possessing a comprehensive understanding of the eiSmart and Active product portfolio to address technical inquiries effectively.

Business Review Presentations:

  • Effectively communicate and present sales figures, product information and other market relevant topics to Distribution partners. This role requires a high level of comfort and proficiency in delivering engaging presentations. Training will be provided.

Coordination with Inside Sales:

  • Collaborate with the Distribution Inside Sales team to coordinate pricing, quoting for volume requests and additional daily functions.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze monthly Point of Sale (POS) reports and other relevant data to grow actionable insights.

Campaign Development:

  • Work closely with the Distribution Marketing team to develop monthly product campaigns aimed at enhancing market presence.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to comprehend customer needs, assess competition, gauge market size, identify trends, and understand market requirements. This includes evaluating potential sales opportunities through distribution partners.

Customer Support:

  • Address customer inquiries which may arise regarding products, technical specifications, prices, availability, and product applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience in Technical Sales or Product Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales development, pricing management, and customer support.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Technical knowledge or aptitude to respond to product-related technical inquiries.
  • Familiarity with the Americas market and distribution channels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to visit Distribution partners and other work related events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular with Microsoft Excel and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Team player, communication and open collaboration are attributes of high importance.
