POSITION OVERVIEW

The Community Engagement Liaison will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager within the Talent Center of Excellence (COE) onsite in our Greensboro, NC headquarters and will be a key asset to building the aviation workforce of the future. In this role, you will build and own relationships and programs with current community partners while expanding HAECO’s outreach to new opportunities within our community and develop new programs to access talent across Guilford County, NC and Columbia County, FL. You will help initiate, grow, and promote HAECO workforce development initiatives that deliver a branded employee experience that drives talent acquisition, career development and retention.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent HAECO at community events.
  • Create awareness of HAECO and its employment opportunities and promote HAECO’s EVP.
  • Prioritize and expand HAECO’s community outreach efforts to identified partners in Guilford County to include (but not limited to) schools, apprenticeship programs, adult education, governmental programs, NC Works, Internships, Chambers of Commerce, return to work and community service groups.
  • Expand, support and partner HAECO’s community outreach efforts to identified partners in the LCQ area, including Columbia County, Gainesville and Jacksonville, and lead efforts that introduce hires for HAECO
  • Unlock new sources of talent and create pathways from hiring from these sources.
  • Identify and align skills to open positions and pathways to hire from all external partnerships for GSO and LCQ locations.
  • Develop, implement, and administer programs for each selected community partner.
  • Partner with Business Leaders and HRBPs to influence and enable new and innovative ways to integrate newly identified talent pools.
  • Track and report program pipeline and metrics.
  • Serve as a new talent and program advocate throughout HAECO.
  • Maintain data integrity.
  • Be accessible and responsive to action for all stakeholders.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • 3 years program development and administration experience or community engagement experience.
  • Experience hiring for and/or representing a manufacturing, aviation, or similar company.
  • Ability to develop programs that provides an exceptional candidate and client experience with a pathway for qualified talent to HAECO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills.
  • Strong presenter and public speaker.
  • Creative thinker with a bias for action.
  • Mastery of breaking down barriers and working with all personality types.
  • Comprehension to understand the business and its needs.
  • Skill of prioritization, organization and accountability for deadlines and deliverables to all stakeholders.
