The SPCA is seeking a Facility Temporary Janitorial Associate to join our team for the summer season. As a Janitorial Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our animals, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all areas within the facility, including animal enclosures, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring they are free from debris and stains.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures to maintain a tidy appearance.
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Restock supplies, such as paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning products, as needed.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Collaborate with the animal care team to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for the animals.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for animal welfare and empathy towards animals.

Working Conditions:
- This is a temporary position for the summer season.
- The work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- The job requires frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
- Exposure to animal hair, allergens, cleaning chemicals, and animal waste is possible.
