Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department and ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. This is a key role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Duties
- Manage office operations and procedures, including filing systems, supply inventory, and office equipment maintenance
- Assist with account reconciliation, debits, credits, and journal entries
- Utilize technical accounting skills to maintain accurate financial records
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and assist with tax preparation
- Process Sales tax returns utilizing quickbooks reporting
- Process and manage payroll for the company
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Skills
- Proficient in accounting software QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and tax preparation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk or similar role is preferred
