POSITION: CO-AAP Math Program Manager LOCATION: DSST: Home Office located in Denver, CO SALARY: Starting at $65,000 - $72,800 with up to six years of aligned experience STATUS: Full-time, in-person position (Denver, CO); Year by Year role based on award of Colorado Academic Accelerator Grant (Note: 3-year position) START: July 2024 KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES The primary function of the CO-AAP Program Manager is to support Campus Coordinators and tutors to develop and carry out strong math intervention and STEM enrichment programs for Tier 2 and Tier 3 programming. The CO-AAP Program Manager also ensures improvements in OST programming structures across participating middle schools. The CO-AAP Program Manager leads the launch of out-of-school (OST) math tutoring and STEM enrichment at participating CO-AAP middle schools. The CO-AAP Program Manager supports planning for execution of the Tier 2 MS Math Intervention Vision and scope and sequence of the development of math tutors. The COO-AAP Program Manager provides professional development for Center Coordinators and math tutors to develop their knowledge about math accelerators and effective small group instruction The CO-AAP Program Manager designs and implements two family nights per site to educate family members about the program. The CO-AAP Program Manager designs vision for parent communication and supports Center Coordinators and tutors to inform and communicate regularly with families. The CO-AAP Program Manager partners with math tutors to work extensively with students to help them improve specific math skills such as procedural fluency and problem-solving. The CO-AAP Program Manager supports response to data for Tier 1 Universal Screeners in math. The CO-AAP Program Manager supports use of digital accelerator programs (I-Ready) and potential pilots of new standards-aligned digital acceleration programs (Zearn, Mathia). The CO-AAP Program Manager supports the management of student placement into OST programming based on Diagnostic Assessments results and progress monitoring cycles. The CO-AAP Program Manager monitors math and STEM programming progress quarterly in conjunction with Center Coordinators and School Directors. The CO-AAP Program Manager reports student progress to stakeholders regularly including Home Office math and science team, school personnel, and Home Office senior leadership. The CO-AAP Program Manager assists in the evaluation of ongoing interventions programs and makes recommendations for change. The CO-AAP Program Manager supports the culturally-responsive, anti-bias and anti-racist mission of the school. The CO-AAP Program Manager conducts regular observations of math tutoring and STEM enrichment to evaluate program effectiveness and equitable access. DSST Math Intervention Vision and Programming The CO-AAP Program Manager conducts research internally and externally to establish a vision for mathematics intervention both in school and out of school to close gaps for students furthest behind and provide appropriate supports for students with IEP’s and multilingual learners. The CO-AAP Program Manager partners with the Home Office Math and Science Department to develop an instructionally coherent math intervention program at DSST Public Schools The CO-AAP Program Manager collaborates with the Home Office Academic Program Team to solidify middle school scheduling that supports math academic intervention within the school day The CO-AAP Program Manager creates a plan for expansion of the CO-AAP program to multiple campuses and building impact at current campus to expand to multiple grades The CO-AAP Program Manager conducts regular observations of Tier 1,2,3 classrooms to evaluate for equitable access and recommendations for supporting all learners The CO-AAP Program Manager participates in semester Equity Audits or other observations with the Home Office Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum team. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university At least 2 years experience with school or network level leadership in facilitating Math professional development Must have experience in closing student achievement gaps based on response to Math data 5 years Math teaching and/or intervention experience Demonstrated ability to strategically plan high quality Math curricular resources and materials IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree in Math, Science, Curriculum and Instruction or equivalent; preferred SpEd or ELA-E/CLDE certification preferred Background with Math intervention programming is preferred WHO WE ARE At DSST Public Schools, we are proud to be the largest and highest-performing network of public charter schools in Denver and Aurora with 100% of our students having been accepted into college or post secondary programs since our inception in 2004.
