SUMMARY
Provides administrative and technical support for the daily operation of the HR department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.
Food safety or quality responsibilities within job. All staff are responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.
Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the front office
Professionally answers the telephone and connects calls accordingly
Directs outside visitors / contractors to the appropriate staff members while ensuring SQF practices are adhered to
Stamps and labels mail/packages for pick up and distributes daily mail/packages to proper addressee
Process weekly payroll by checking time cards, managing time off requests, adding sick/vacation time, and generating reports
Records employee information such as attendance, disciplinary action, and termination dates
Assist with editing human resources communications content including company announcements, presentations, policies, forms, training material and job descriptions etc.
Plans and conducts new employee/temporary orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Provides clerical and admin duties as assigned
Perform other related duties as required
Responsible for the quality of the work and implementation of the food safety/quality procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.
Report all safety incidents.
Responsible to report any food safety/quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action – SQF Practitioner or direct supervisor.
SUPEVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalency of education could possibly fulfill formal degree requirements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
