What We Are Looking ForExperienced Off Road Dump Truck Driver for our Hampstead, NC area Project. Employee provides a high level of vehicle operation skills to all assigned projects and or tasks on any given basis. He or she is further expected to follow the directions/guidance provided by site supervision and adhere to all sites’, company, industry, roadway safety rules and or regulations as provided.
Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicle to include manipulating pedals and levers in accordance with company polices and state/federal road and highway laws and/or regulations to and from designated locations.
• Perform pre- post trip inspection to include but not limited to, tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and coolant, wipers, etc.
• Perform routine fueling, lubricating, servicing, preventative maintenance and/or minor repairs.
• Communicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and maintains safe speed and observes all traffic controls.
• Loading and unloading materials as required for transporting such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal, asphalt, blacktop, dirt, etc.
• Safely operate vehicle with articulating bed over various terrain within a construction environment, Clean the rear bumper and fender section clear of material using shovels or scrapers as needed or directed.
• Communicate with site personnel, other drivers and equipment operators by hand signals, radio, and other audible sounds as needed or dire
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One (1) year Articulated Off-road dump truck experience required
• Experience with basic tools and be mechanically inclined
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• A thorough knowledge about safety precautions while working
• Work requires exposure to construction site environments having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Provide personal transportation to and from the jobsite
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change
