Under the guidance of the Director of Fund Development, this position is a key member of our business development and fund development teams. The Development Specialist (DS) will provide support to both teams focused on managing the marketing collateral tools, donor tracking, supporting VNA hosted community events to build effective communication relationships. Maintains public relations and communication platform through media modalities. May assist fund development and outreach efforts in collaboration with the Fund Development Team, Business Development and Leadership. May assist in formulation and implementation of the one year and five year plans for meeting the fund-raising goals of the organization. Assures complete and accurate donor records. Assures timely acknowledgment of gifts and provides for donor recognition.

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications: Must have a minimum of three (3) years applicable experience, with ability to demonstrate success in relationship building, growth of program and verbal and written communications. Have professional and dynamic presence. Strong writing skills. Must be socially interactive and communicate with diverse and multigenerational audiences; have established networking with community members and organizations or be able to create networks;; possess excellent organizational skills and time management. Experience in setting and working within budgets. Experience in computer and database management.
