Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include assisting with behavior management, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing crisis management support. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
- Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation
- Conduct regular check-ins with patients to assess their well-being
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary
- Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal planning, and recreational activities
- Implement strategies for working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with behavioral challenges
- Provide support and counseling to individuals struggling with addiction

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and crisis intervention strategies
- Familiarity with administering medications and monitoring vital signs

- Experience in addiction counseling or substance abuse treatment is desirable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Roanoke, VA 24018: Relocate before starting work (Required)
