Purpose

The Graphic Designer is responsible for bringing design solutions to life and managing design projects from concept through delivery of all graphics-based visuals and printed media. The person in this role will create original artwork, manage graphic design tasks, refine projects and drafts, and generate creative ideas while working under the direction of the Communications Coordinators. The ideal candidate is an effective
communicator and an accomplished designer with in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles, and layout techniques. If you are a curious, collaborative designer with a passion for delivering dynamic ideas that connect people to God, regardless of their stage of faith, this may be the role for you.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the Graphic Designer to develop creative concepts and implement a cohesive visual style, voice, and tone
• Ensures Chapel Pointe’s visual brand consistency
• Establishes high standards for design production, productivity, quality, and service
• Collaborates with Communications Coordinators internally to maximize effectiveness and impact
• Provides effective design/layout for books, study guides, resources for church-wide sermon series and initiatives
• Stays on top of trends to deliver compelling ideas and visuals
• Absorbs knowledge and direction, then builds on it to bring ideas to life
• Can discern and facilitate the difference between creative conversations and client interactions
• Aids the Communication Coordinators with special projects and initiatives

Qualifications

• Education: College degree in graphic design or equivalent experience preferred
• Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work and/or an awesome portfolio that showcases your skills
• The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and an accomplished designer with in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles, and layout techniques
• This position should be comfortable working across various ministry teams and interacting with people at all levels of the organization
• The candidate is curious, a great teammate, and a self-starter who relishes operating in a fast-paced environment on a variety of large and small projects
• Fast and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Ability to take feedback and constructive criticism and incorporate it quickly to meet deadlines
• Ability to multitask and create high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Videography and photography experience is not required but preferred
• Social Media management and content creation experience preferred
• UX/UI experience preferred
• Motion graphics experience is a bonus
